Run Sister Run

Ok, so it wasn't amazing, it wasn't earth stopping but it was an accomplishment for me! I ran over a mile. I started out doing 3 minute intervals and today I ran for 17 minutes with only one minute stop for rest. That was awesome for me. I ran about 1.5 miles and then walked a bit before and after. My goal is to get up to 3 miles before our run at the end of July. Only 1.5 months to go. So excited to keep improving. Maybe a year from now I will be running 6 miles and wondering when it was I couldn't even run a mile. ;)

What a Weekend!

The weekend started early with Mike and I driving to the East side of the state Thursday night for training. Soooo, I didn't get up early on Friday. Instead I just had a busy day hanging with friends and family while Mike networked at some convention thing. Saturday we went to the kite festival and Mike headed to prison to photograph the One Day With God event there. He said it was very moving and I am glad he got to experience it. We will be going again in November. After our busy day out entertaining kids I attended Hope's graduation. It was great to see her walk and I am so glad that I went. Even though driving home that night and not arriving in Holland till 10pm was hard. We had some grumpy kids the next day and decided to stay home and just work on the house instead of going to church. We slept in too, which even though I didn't run this weekend I also didn't sleep past the kids either day. Sunday we were just exhausted though, and Parker slept till 9:30. We got a lot done and I am glad that we made the drive Saturday night in spite of the screaming and crying that took place. Today I got up, did the elliptical and weights. I didn't run cause Mike woke me at 6, which would have given me 20 minutes. I decided I need my alarm clock if Mike is going to be out running in the mornings too. Tomorrow I will get up before he returns home.
